FYE 2023 HIGHEST REVENUE AT RM2.25B PRE-TAX PROFIT AT RM189.5M

Christopher Chuah (44) has been in the poultry business in Penang for more than 20 years learning the ropes of the family run listed company, CAB Cakaran Corporation Berhad (CAB) from his father and mother, Mdm Chan Kim Keow. CAB's founder is Chuah Ah Bee (acronym CAB), 72, who has more than 40 years experience in the livestock business. He is Executive Chairman of CAB and heads the Persatuan Penjual-Penjual Ayam Itik Pulau Pinang as Chairman since 2004.

Christopher is upbeat about the prospects of CAB's future in Indonesia after a tie up in 2015 with the Salim Group to build large scale poultry farms in the nation. The project was slowed down by the pandemic but no longer. He said "it will be our company's next growth engine." The Salim Group, headed by Anthoni Salim, is one of the biggest instant noodle makers in the world with its global brand, Indomie, besides investments in retail, banking, telecom and energy. Anthoni has a 15.19% stake in CAB as at 9 Jan 2023.

CAB has been on an upward trajectory since 2022. For FYE ended 30 Sept 2023, the company recorded its highest revenue at RM2.25 billion n pre-tax profit at RM189.5 million.

Chuah Ah Bee has two other sons in key management of CAB. Chuah Hoon Hong, 37, heads the Singapore and Malaysia's Southern poultry Divisions. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing Management and Economics from Murdoch University, Perth, Australia. Chuah Hoon Teng, 35 heads the Breeder Farm Operations Division. He has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing Management and Economics from Murdoch University, Perth, Australia.

As at 9 January 2023 the substantial shareholders of CAB Cakaran Corporation Berhad are Chuah Ah Bee (28.2%) and Chan Kim Keow (13.8%) and Plant Wealth holdings Limited (15.199%) of which Anthoni Salim is deemed interested.
