T7 GLOBAL’S ORDER BOOK STANDS AT ABOUT RM2.3 BILLION

T7 Global Berhad is an integrated energy solutions provider in the oil and gas (O&G) industry. In 2020 it added a new business division - Aerospace & Defence. The founder, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Tan Kean Soon, 58, has more than 30 years of experience in the O&G upstream and downstream business. The T7 Global group has expanded its presence in the ASEAN region.  

For FYE 31 December 2021 T7 Global's revenue was RM305.5 million and profit before tax was RM19.88 million. 

Both Tan Sri Tan's sons are holding senior management positions in T7Global. Elder son, Tan Kay Zhuin, 33, is the Group CEO. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering (Hons) from University of New South Wales, Sydney. Kay Zhuin has been heading the Energy Division which is the core business of the group since 2018. He first joined T7 Global's key subsidiary, Tanjung Offshore Services Sdn Bhd in 2016 and was involved in the offshore construction and maintenance segment. Prior to that he worked as a production engineer with KrisEnergy Limited in Singapore and was a petroleum engineer with Toyo Engineering Corporation in Japan.

Younger son, Tan Kay Vin, 31, is Executive Director of T7 Global and heads the Aerospace division. Kay Vin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in actuarial science and finance from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He is on the Board of Directors of the Malaysia Aerospace Industry Association. Prior to joining T7 Global, Kay Vin worked with Maybank Investment Berhad, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group and PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia.

T7 Global recently secured maintenance and leasing contracts with a company in Thailand worth about RM400 million. 

UPDATE:2 April 2025 

Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon resigned as Executive Deputy Chairman on 1 April 2025. As at 1 April 2024 the two substantial shareholders of T7 Global Berhad are Tan Sri Datuk Seri Tan Kean Soon (9.88%) and Tan Sri Datuk Seri Dr. Nik Norzrul Thani Bin N. Hassan Thani (9.9%) via his deemed interest in Abyssina Resources (M) Sdn. Bhd.
