FOR FYE 2023 REVENUE WAS RM262.5M, PRE-TAX PROFIT RM50.15M

From a small trading store in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur in the 1960s, the Chew brothers have built up Yoong Onn Corporation Berhad to be a leading integrated manufacturer of high quality bed and bath linen in Malaysia. They have more than 10 successful homegrown brands including Jean Perry, Ann Taylor, Niki Cains, Louis Casa, Genova, etc. They are marketed via their own 25 Home Harmony's boutique retail outlets, 4 Niki Cains concept stores, 1 Home's outlet and 260 consignment counters with department stores, supermarkets, and specialty stores in Malaysia. Yoong Onn is the first home linen company to be listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia. It made its debut on 22 December 2009.

Yoong Onn is also a supplier of homeware, which are externally sourced. They include bed, bath and living room and kitchen accessories, rugs and floor mats, lifestyle furniture and other homeware. For FYE 30 June 2023 Yoong Onn reported revenue of RM262.5 million and pre-tax profit of RM50.15 million. The bulk of the revenue is derived from the local market which shows strong domestic support for the Malaysian home linen brands.

Roland Chew Hon Foong (64) MD/CEO of the company has more than 40 years experience in the home linen industry.  He started his career in 1979 when he joined Yoon On, a partnership  which is involved in trading and retailing of textiles and home linen. He was involved in developing and creating their own brands of bed linen which was marketed under the names Diana and Novelle in 1982. In 1988, together with his brother, Chew Hon Keong, he established Syarikat Yoong Onn Sdn Bhd and took over the entire business of the partnership company, Yoon On. He is actively involved in creating fabric designs for both the mass and niche markets and heads the  Group’s in-house design team.

Raymond Chew Hon Keong (63), Chief Operating Officer, is co-founder and began in the same business as Roland. He is involved in the Group's manufacturing operations.

The Chews have another brother, Chew Hong Yoong (66) who holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He only joined the family run business in 1992 after he had overseen the construction of the manufacturing plant. All three brothers are beneficial owners of 52.95% of the shares of Yoong Onn.
