KU brothers of Johor based KSL Holdings continue upward trajectory of success

FY2024 RECORD NET PROFIT OF RM472 MILLION ON ANNUAL REVENUE OF 1.38 BILLION

KU brothers who control KSL Holdings Berhad (KSL) have flagship developments in Johor Bahru, Kluang and Klang. They focus on mid-market landed and high-rise projects in high-demand areas. Property investment in KSL City Mall (1 million sq ft) which ranks among the largest malls in Johor, KSL Hotel and Resort, KSL Hot Spring Resort, KSL Esplanade Hotel & Mall, Klang contributed 18% or RM248 million to group revenue. 

Ku Hwa Seng 69 (Executive Chairman), Khoo Cheng Hai@ Ku Cheng Hai, 74 (Group MD),  and Ku Tien Sek 68, (Executive Director) are brothers and substantial shareholders of the company. Another brother Ku Wa Chong is not on the board of KSL but is a substantial shareholder. The daughters of the Chairman and Group MD representing the Next Gen are EDs of KSL. Ku Ek Mei, 43, is the daughter of Ku Hwa Seng and she has been with KSL since 2004. Khoo Lee Feng, 38, daughter of Khoo Cheng Hai joined the group in 2010. Both are actively involved in the family run business. In Key Senior Management is Ku Keng Leong, 48, son of Ku Wa Chong. He graduated from Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Australia with a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in International Business in 1999 and joined KSL in 2000. In 2018 Keng Leong obtained his MBA in IPE Business School, Paris.
