Simple Life Vegetarian Restaurant

April 21, 2021

The Simple Life vegetarian restaurant chain was founded by Tracy Ngo and her husband, Lai Keun Ban, in 2011 and it has since expanded into 12 outlets. Tracy and Lai began with an Organic shop selling the popular Hakka Lei cha dish and other vegetarian offerings in 1992. The venture into the organic business was spurred when Tracy discovered a small tumour near her ear. She had it removed and then adopted a vegetarian and organic lifestyle. Tracy has written three organic recipe books to help those who would like to prepare delicious organic vegetarian dishes at home. Her aim is to dispel the general view that vegetarian dishes are bland and not appetising.

The first Simple Life restaurant was set up in Sunway Pyramid, Klang Valley on 13 November 2011. The 11 other outlets are at AEON Bukit Tinggi, Bandar Rimbayu, IOI Mall, Leisure Mall, Tropicana Gardens Mall, Mid Valley Gardens Mall, Paradigm Mall, Pavillion Elite Kuala Lumpur, Setia City Mall, Sunway Putra Mall and Sunway Velocity Mall.
