SCR CorporationSdn Bhd which runs the homegrown family style halal  restaurant chain with its signature dish, Singapore Chicken Rice, is a Sarawakian founded company. Set up in 1987 it has grown to become a household name in East Malaysia with its first outlet at Jalan Song Thian Cheok. It has more than 20 outlets. In 2007 it introduced SCR Xpress,a casual dining format offering a distinct blend of the old (Singapore Chicken Rice being a staple) and new menu on a better value for money theme.
