QSR Brands IPO postponed

QSR Brands (M) Holdings Berhad (QSR Brands) is the Master Franchisee of KFC  (USA franchise) restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia. There are over 830 KFC restaurants in the designated territories. QSR Brands is also the Master Franchisee of Pizza Hut (USA franchise) restaurants in Malaysia and Singapore with over 475 restaurants in total. Johor Corporation (JCorp), the State Economic Development Corporation of Johore, is the controlling shareholder of QSR Brands.

Besides restaurant operations, the QSR Brands group is also indirectly involved in poultry processing activities through Ayamas Food Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd, production of the Life brand of sauces for its quick service restaurants and the general market (Region Food Industries Sdn Bhd), and the operation of retail chain stores called Kedai Ayamas through Kara Holdings Sdn Bhd. Kedai Ayamas sells freezer to fryer poultry products ( fresh chicken parts, chicken patties, nuggets, sausages, ready to eat food products such as Nasi Briyani Bukhara Ayam, Nasi Pilaf Ayam Mentega etc). The Ayamas chain is the first in Malaysia to offer Halal certified fresh chicken and other chicken based products. Currently there are 51 Kedai Ayamas stores nationwide.
